OUR PROGRAMS

COMMUNITY EMPOWEREMENT

We engage youth in skill development activities like carpentry, mechanics and other vocational learning activities. We also involve women in development activities like piggery projects, village savings and credit associations. At IRREDEN we engage youth in tree planting and advocate for energy saving technologies to fight against climate change.

SERVICE DELIVERY

At IRREDEN we support community health through Counselling AIDs patients, strengthening health workers through mentaling workshops and Seminars. We encourage children to go to schools by helping them with scholastic materials such as books, pens and uniforms.

ADVOCACY AND CAPACITY BUILDING

We organize seminars aiming at complementing efforts ensuring all workers have competent skills for qaulity service delivery. We sensitize the community about government policies through radio talk shows.

Director's Message

It's my pleasure to say a word about our organisation. Inter-Rural Religious Development Network started in 2017 with an aim of uniting all religions (People) for development and since then we have managed to do the following activities.
  • We have staged visits to worshipping places as a way of promoting unity and eliminate / reduce conflicts between different religions.
  • Organised seminars with religious leaders and engaged them in development activities. We opened up a campaign of GIRLS ARE NOT BRIDES LET THEM COMPLETE SCHOOL, This campaign was launched in Jan 18 2018. About 200 girls were taught how to make reusable sanitary towels and 250 were given scholastic materials as a way of reducing absentism and inspired them to remain / stay focused on their studies.
  • Empowered women and the youth in various activities like engaging in seasonal agriculture.
  • Initiating village saving associations to boost their economic status.
  • Youth are empowered in vocational skills like motorcycle repairing, carpentry and salon (hair dressing for teen girls)
Special thanks go to the promoters who sacrificed their money and guidance to run the selected projects. Well wishers have also done a tremendous work in areas of guidance and support to make IRREDEN stand.
